“Each game is a battle. Every game is a final.”

On April 5 Austria’s Swarco Raiders will kick off the first Battle 4 Tirol event at Tivoli Stadium in Innsbruck, Austria.

The Battle4Tirol is four single, stand-alone games between the Swarco Raiders and an opponent selected for its quality and longevity.

At the end of each contest, the winner of each game will receive the helmet of the opposing team as a trophy.

Elisabeth Swarovski, SWARCO RAIDERS Tirol president and CEO:

“It is our goal to further establish Tyrol as an American football hotspot through the BATTLE4TIROL. With this competition we want to promote our wonderful American football sport and offer new enticement for our fans, the media and our sponsors”.

The reasoning behind this event is to give the Swarco Raiders more games against quality opposition. The Austrian season is relatively short and with only six teams in the league this leaves too few games for the Raiders’ players.

Hence, the decision was made to hold this event, in addition to playing both the Austrian league games and the Big6 tournament.

Now let us meet to teams invited to Innsbruck to battle the Raiders!
