ELF: Paris signs ELF-All Star TE Adria Botella Moreno

The Paris Football Team of the European League of Football have signed former All- Europe tight end Adria Botella Moreno. The highly coveted Spanish pass catcher looks to become an impact player in one of the ELF’s new expansion teams.

The 6’5 250-pound Barcelona native is coming off of championship season with the Vienna Vikings. Arguably the league’s top tight end was limited this past season with injuries making only seven starts. When healthy, he made a big impact by hauling in 24 passes for 324 yards and three scores, while blocking well in the run game. In the ELF championship game, the 25-year-old caught two passes for 16 yards and a touchdown.

In 2021, Botella Moreno racked up 750 receiving yards and six touchdowns earning the ELF-All Star and All-Europe honors  for the Hamburg Sea Devils. He also played a phenomenal championship game finishing with 138 yards under the league’s brightest lights.

The newest Parisian spent the early part of 2021 back home playing for the  L’Hospitalet Pioners on the Spanish coast, the big target helped the Pioners win Spain’s second league with current Paris quarterback Zach Edwards. The year prior, Botella Moreno played for Denmark’s Søllerød Gold Diggers.  In 2019, he suited up for the Allgäu Comets of the German Football League catching 30 passes for 436 yards and two scores.

The Spaniard played college football at the University of Sioux Falls (NCAA D2) suiting up as a defensive end and tight end. In his senior year with the Cougars, Botella Moreno solely played defense making 10 tackles, two tackles for a loss, one sack, two pass break ups, and two blocked kicks.

The Paris offense is creating a lot of buzz around fans as the Spanish tight end joins quarterback Zach Edwards, receiver Kyle Sweet, and a host of other weapons on a Paris team looking to shake up the league in its first year.
