ELF: Paris Football Team signs league-leading receiver Kyle Sweet

The Paris Football Team has announced the signing of the European League of Football’s (ELF) leading receiver in touchdowns, receptions, and yards for 2022, Kyle Sweet.

Upon entering the league, Sweet immediately made his presence and PAC-12 pedigree felt with the Barcelona Dragons. His connection on and off the field with quarterback Zach Edwards led to a MVP-like run, and ultimately the Offensive Player of the Year winner, as he amassed a total of 1,561 yards and 17 touchdowns on 115 receptions.

The 6 ‘0, 190 pound receiver was able to help turn the Dragons offense from one of the lowest performing in 2021, to the best in 2022 with a diverse skill set that allowed him to not only blow the top off opposing team’s defenses but also pick up the hard yardage between the sticks.

As a four-year letterwinner for the Washington State Cougars (NCAA, DI), Sweet appeared in 50 games, recording 139 receptions for 1,454 yards and five touchdowns. His stellar performance earned him a tryout with the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams shortly after the culmination of his impressive college career.

Sweet’s signing will be the fourth for the Paris Football Team as they look to build on top of an already established strong French athlete base led by one of Europe’s most successful coaches over the last two years, Marc Mattioli.

General Manager Marc-Angelo Soumah of Sweet’s signing:

‘With the addition of Kyle, our passing game immediately becomes a force to be reckoned with! Sweet and the French players that we have at the receiver position constitute a strong foundation for a great offense!’
