NFL Week 2 features unbeaten showdowns and bounce-back opportunities

The NFL rolls into Week 2 with 16 games spread across Thursday, Sunday and Monday, with several teams looking to build on impressive opening wins and others already trying to avoid an 0-2 start.

Week 2 begins Thursday night when the Detroit Lions (1-0) visit the Buffalo Bills (1-0) at New Highmark Stadium. Both survived tight openers, with Detroit edging the New Orleans Saints 31-30 in overtime and Buffalo beating the Houston Texans 36-31.

Sunday opens with eight games

The early Sunday window features eight matchups, including a pair of games between 1-0 teams.

The Minnesota Vikings (1-0) head to Soldier Field to face the Chicago Bears (1-0) after both offenses exploded in Week 1. Minnesota rallied past the Green Bay Packers 39-22, while Chicago piled up 59 points against the Carolina Panthers.

The Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) visit the Houston Texans (0-1), while the Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) travel to face the Tennessee Titans (0-1).

Elsewhere, the Carolina Panthers (0-1) visit the Atlanta Falcons (0-1), the Cleveland Browns (0-1) face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) and the Green Bay Packers (0-1) take on the New York Jets (1-0).

The New Orleans Saints (0-1) visit the Baltimore Ravens (1-0), while the Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) head to New England to face the Patriots (0-1).

Cardinals and Seahawks meet out West

Four games fill the late Sunday windows.

The Las Vegas Raiders (1-0) visit the Los Angeles Chargers (0-1), while the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) head to Denver to face the Broncos (0-1).

The Miami Dolphins (0-1) travel to Levi’s Stadium to take on the San Francisco 49ers (1-0), who opened the season by beating the Los Angeles Rams 27-7 in Melbourne.

One of the more intriguing matchups sends the Seattle Seahawks (1-0) to Arizona against the Cardinals (1-0). Arizona delivered Week 1’s biggest upset, knocking off the Chargers 26-14, while Seattle edged the New England Patriots 13-10.

NFC East rivals meet in Dallas

The Washington Commanders (0-1) and Dallas Cowboys (0-1) will both be looking for their first victory when they meet at AT&T Stadium.

Sunday night sends the Indianapolis Colts (0-1) to Arrowhead Stadium against the Kansas City Chiefs (1-0). Kansas City opened with a 31-10 win over the Denver Broncos, while Indianapolis fell 41-23 to the Baltimore Ravens.

Giants and Rams finish Week 2

Week 2 closes Monday night at SoFi Stadium, where the New York Giants (1-0) face the Los Angeles Rams (0-1).

The Giants opened with a 28-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, while the Rams return home looking to rebound from their loss to the 49ers in Australia.

After a Week 1 filled with upsets, shootouts and close finishes, Week 2 offers the first chance for the NFL’s fast starters to establish some early momentum — and for the teams that stumbled out of the gate to answer back.
