However, regular COVID-19 testing of the France team and staff conducted as part of the health protocols Saturday morning revealed a number of positive cases among members of the team.

As a result, the game scheduled for 9 pm, August 7 will be postponed until further notice.

According to Italian law, the entire delegation from France including the players, coaches, staff, and French Federation of American Football representatives, must now undergo a 10 day period of quarantine.

Although the game has been cancelled, France has the option of appealing to have the game played at a later date, before October 30.
