French WR Anthony Dablé invited to New England Patriots try-out

Frenchmen Anthony Dablé is still in the hunt for a National Football League team. The wide receiver tried out with the New England Patriots on Tuesday.

According to ESPN NFL Nation reporter Mike Reiss, who covers the New England Patriots;

The Patriots are coming off a 23-21 Week 1 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night. Back-up quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was at the helm as New England had to make due without their suspended superstar quarterback Tom Brady. Brady returns from his four game ‘Deflategate’ suspension Week 5.

Dablé had been with the New York Giants since being signed to a free agent contract in April and made it to the team’s last cut before being released.

Despite being in good health and making it through the 75-man cut, he saw very little action in the Giants last preseason game. He was not signed to the Giants practice squad.

When asked if the try-out went well Dablé confirmed, “It did, I just do me. It’s a matter of room and spots. That’s their decision after that.”

Dablé was the only receiver worked out by the Patriots and could be up for the vacant spot left by CB Mike Hilton, who signed with another team yesterday.
