The Berlin Rebels, German Football League quarterfinalists, have signed one of the finest defensive backs in Europe, Paul Morant.
The 6’0″, 210 lb, 26 year old native of Hampton, Virginia spent the past two seasons with the Milano Seamen helping them win back-to-back Italian championships. He also traveled to Brazil and won the Brazilian Football League title with the Galo Futebol Americano.
Morant was a member of the Seamen in 2017 when they defeated the Rebels in the Big6 opener.
In 2016, Morant was a key member of the Turkish championship winning Koc Rams playing on both sides of the ball. He caught more than 1,000 yards in passes, scoring 10 touchdowns while also recording 65 tackles and 10 interceptions.
In his first year in Europe, 2015, he helped the Bolzano Giants reach the Italian semifinals while being named the top import in the Italian Football League.
A graduate of Old Dominion (NCAA Division I FBS ), he finished his career sixth in school history with 178 tackles.
