Italy: Legnano Frogs sign QB Josh Taylor

The Legnano Frogs have announced that quarterback Josh Taylor, has signed for the 2026 Italian Football League season.

Taylor spent the 2025 season behind center with the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns in the German Football League where he threw for 2,620 yards and 24 touchdowns and rushed for 349 yards and five scores during the regular season leading his team to the quarterfinals.

The 6-0, 200-pound, 24 year old native of Mt. Orab, Ohio, spent the 2024 season with the Kuopio Steelers in the Finnish Maple League. Taylor helped Kuopio reach the Maple League semifinals after throwing for 1,493 yards and 17 touchdowns in just eight games (he missed the last four regular season games due to injury) against only three interceptions. He also rushed for 459 yards and nine scores.

He arrived in Europe after four years at Mount Saint Joseph (NCAA Div. III), where he threw for 7,781 yards and 95 touchdowns and rushed for 2,342 and 42 touchdowns. In his senior season (2023) he was number one in the nation in passing touchdowns (45), points responsible (312), 10th in passing yards and 20th in the country in passing efficiency. That year, he was a semi-finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy (D3’s top individual football award) as well as being named as the HCAC Offensive Player of the Year and also was a 1st-Team All-HCAC Selection.
