Lazio Ducks re-sign head coach Dan Pippin

Rome’s premier American football team, the Lazio Ducks, have re-signed head coach Dan Pippin.

Pippin returns to the eternal city for this third season, after leading the Ducks to the playoffs in 2021.

Pippin is excited to be back in Italy leading the Ducks into the 2022 season.

“I am thrilled to return to Rome and to my friends from the Lazio family”

The Michigan native returns to Rome after leading both the Ducks of Italy’s first division but also the club’s second team, the Fighting Ducks, in Italy’s third division. Pippin has been vital in rebuilding an exciting club last season that featured one of Italy’s best offenses.

Before taking his coaching talents abroad Pippin was an accomplished coach in the United States after having spent 28 years coaching high school football in South Carolina at Aiken, Greenwood, and North Augusta. In the heart of the South, Pippin was a fixture in the competitive South Carolina high school football scene. During his various coaching tenures, Pippin produced multiple NFL players and dozens of Division 1 recruits. Most recently, he spent this fall coaching at Rochester Community and Technical College in Minnesota’s junior college league.
