The Prague Lions (2-7) host the Frankfurt Galaxy (3-6) Sunday in the European Football Alliance regular-season finale, with Prague looking to finish its year with a home win and Frankfurt trying to lock up a place in the inaugural BIG4 Playoff Weekend.
The Lions were eliminated from postseason contention following last week’s 41-29 loss to the Raiders Tirol, but they can still have a major say in how the playoff field takes shape. For the Galaxy, the equation is much simpler: win and they are in.
Prague can play spoiler
The Lions have endured an uneven season, but quarterback Jaylon Henderson gives them a chance to cause problems for any defense. Henderson has completed 151 of 248 passes for 1,731 yards and 15 touchdowns while also leading Prague on the ground with 570 yards and five scores on 100 carries.
His dual-threat ability will be especially important with leading receiver William Patterson unavailable after suffering an injury last week. Patterson has 64 receptions for 750 yards and five touchdowns in eight games, leaving a significant hole in the Prague passing attack.
The Lions also have some recent success creating turnovers. Defensive backs Jan Krs and Alexander Borković have each recorded an interception over the past two games.

Frankfurt searching for an offensive spark
The Galaxy arrives in Prague after three straight defeats, the latest a 47-9 loss to the Nordic Storm in Zach Calzada’s first start at quarterback.
Frankfurt managed only 198 total yards in that game, but Calzada now has another week of practice with an offense he joined late in the season. Brevia Easton, who has 43 catches for 630 yards and five touchdowns in eight games, gives him a proven target.
Before the quarterback change, Ethan Garbers had completed 140 of 220 passes for 1,786 yards and 15 touchdowns in eight games. Antony Marvyn Bouembe leads the Galaxy rushing attack with 331 yards and one touchdown on 84 carries.
Galaxy controls its path
Despite its recent struggles, Frankfurt does not need help from anyone else. A victory sends the Galaxy to the BIG4.
A loss would leave its fate dependent on the result between the Raiders Tirol and Paris Musketeers, something Frankfurt would rather avoid.
For Prague, there is no postseason berth waiting at the end of the afternoon. There is, however, a chance to close the season with a win at home — and potentially take the Galaxy out of the playoff picture with them.
