For the first time since 2009, the best 90 players from the British University League, BUCS, will do battle in the Football America UK University All Star Game at Coventry Butts Arena in Coventry, England, Sunday, September 29.
With 84 teams, the BUCS league is the largest university American football league outside of the United States and the first entry point for most players to football in the United Kingdom.
A total of 195 players from 56 universities applied to play in the game with Coventry University having the biggest representation as 18 athletes tried out.
Following two tryouts, the field was narrowed down to two squads with the North having a 46 man roster and the South 45. Football America received permission from the British American Football Association (BAFA) to revive the game.
