LIVESTREAM IFAF Women’s Americas Flag Championship: Day 2, Field 3, Sept. 13, 14:45 CET (2:45 pm, 8:45 am ET)

Hosts Panama, defending champions USA, winners of The World Games Mexico and a high-scoring Canada team remain undefeated after the first day of action at the 2025 IFAF Women’s Americas Flag Football Continental Championships in Panama.

Saturday’s action at the Stadio Virgilio Tejeira Andrión – with games streamed from 8am US CT on IFAF.TV – could see two clashes decide the outcome of both groups and Sunday’s semifinal alignments. Provided each of the four leaders emerge unscathed from their next games, Panama faces USA and Canada takes on Mexico at 2.15pm in potential deciders.

The schedule, results and standings are available at https://affpanama.org/calendario_ffcc/ and through the official tournament app Boolw.

In group A, veteran quarterback Vanita Krouch fired five scoring passes in the United States’ first outing, with two each to Ashlea Klam and Maci Joncich as the world champions opened with a 46-12 win over Colombia. The tournament newcomers had trailed by only eight points in the first half as Melissa Ramirez tossed scoring passes to Diana Cardona and Maria Jose Solano.

Joncich then stepped in under center against Brazil, who took an early 7-0 lead, and threw five touchdown strikes with Madison Fulford twice her target in the endzone. Colombia bounced back from their loss and blanked Jamaica 39-0

Orlanda Castro threw five touchdowns with Tatiana Dos Santos her main target as host Panama opened their campaign with a 49-12 win over Brazil. The day’s action wrapped up with Castro passing for four more scores in a 50-13 win over Jamaica as Leslie Del Cid and Ana Baloy caught a pair each.

Group B featured one game per team with two more to follow on Saturday. Mexico beat Guatemala 40-6 as Diana Flores threw and caught a touchdown to set the tone early on. The Guatemalans celebrated wildly as Andrea Diez cut the deficit in half and Alejandra Castañeda came up with a prized interception of Flores.

“Here in Panama, we are ready to show the world that we are good enough to be gold winners for the rest of the time,” said Mexico’s Victoria Chavez, who last month caught the winning touchdown in the gold medal contest at The World Games. “We need to be more dominant to win. We need to work and be perfect.”

Canada was all business as they shut out an Argentinian women’s team competing on the IFAF international stage for the first time in a 56-point win.
