The Gdynia Seahawks head to Bialystok, Poland to face the Bialystok Lowlanders in the first semifinal of Poland’s Liga Futbolu Amerykańskiego.
The Lowlanders earned home field advantage for this semifinal game by beating Gdynia 26-7 in the final regular season game of the year.
As a result, the Seahawks had to play a wild card playoff game against the Warsaw Sharks who they whipped 41-0.
In that win over the Seahawks, quarterback Ryan Kasdorf threw one touchdown pass and ran one in himself while running back Mikołaj Pawlaczyk rushed for two. Tomasz Zubrycki caught the lone touchdown pass whileBartek Trubaj kicked two PATs.
Seahawks quarterback Joey Bradley threw a touchdown pass to Paweł Henicz.
The Lowlanders offense performed slightly better than Gdynia’s during the regular season averaging 35 points a game. The Seahawks scored 206 points in the eight game regular season.
The winner of this game moves on to the Liga Futbolu Amerykańskiego championship final on July 21 to face the winner of the other semifinal, either the Wroclaw Panthers or Tychy Falcons.
