The Gdynia Seahawks (3-1) will try to redeem themselves when they host the unbeaten Wroclaw Panthers (3-0), Saturday, May 4 in Poland’s Liga Futbolu Amerykańskiego.
The Seahawks were surprised by the Bialystok Lowlanders last week, losing to them 22-8, marking their first loss of the year. Meanwhile, Wroclaw played and won an international game, shocking Turkey’s Koc Rams 55-7.
Prior to that, Gdynia had won three straight,whipping the Lodz Wilki 62-7, Tychy Falcons, 32-27 and the Warsaw Mets 25-7.
Wroclaw debuted a new quarterback in the rout of the Rams, Tony Dawson, and he could prove to be a problem for the Seahawks. He completed 17 of 22 passes for 261 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for another 133 and four touchdowns. In other words, Dawson accounted for all eight touchdowns and 80% of the 481 yards of offense produced by the Panthers.
