In this highly anticipated rematch of week two, two of the best teams in Spain will meet again as the league’s two crosstown rivals from Madrid hit the field. The defending champion Osos Rivas (3-1) will take on last year’s runner-ups in the LG Oled Black Demons (4-0).

Back in week two, the LG Oled Black Demons defeated the Osos Rivas 3-2. As the score indicates it was a defensive slugfest featuring two excellent defenses.

The Osos Rivas defense has been worth the price of admission, not allowing a single touchdown in four games. Linebackers Sam Taylor, Jorge Juarez, and veteran defensive end Johny Escobar give this front seven a new element of speed and physicality.

On offense, the Osos Rivas will lean on newly signed running back Joc Crawford (Kansas, Berlin Thunder) as the veteran has been one of the top running backs in Europe over the past two seasons. At quarterback, Sergio Barbera will look to get the ball to veterans David Giron and Alvaro Guitian.

The Black Demons hope to get a leg up on their rivals and get their number twice in the first half of the season. New head coach Sam Eisenstadt, hopes to have new quarterback Theo Landers find the end zone and break the Osos Rivas’s impressive streak. Expect the Black Demons to play conservatively, run the ball with veteran Marcos de la Mata, and focus on their defense to try and pull out the win in this one in front of their home crowd.
