NCAA Legends Coaching Clinic In Milan, Italy

The Milano Rhinos and the Italian Federation of American Football (FIDAF) are putting together an impressive coaching clinic on May 13 and 14 in Milan, Italy, featuring Chris Ault (father of the pistol offense) and Mike Leach of Texas Tech and Washington State Cougar fame.

Ault, who is now head coach of the Rhinos, finished his college coaching career with the Nevada Wolfpack with an amazing 233-109-1 record over the course of 28 years at the school. He had spent 41 years―all but seven years of his adult life―at Nevada as a player, coach, or administrator. He retired in 2012 and served as a consultant with the Kansas City Chiefs for three seasons before signing with the Rhinos for the 2016 season.

Mike Leach has fashioned an impressive career with an overall win-loss record of 105-72 as a head coach at Texas Tech (2000-2009) and Washington State (2012-2015). Leach is known for building some very potent offenses, directing very prolific passing-oriented teams that have broken school and NCAA records at Valdosta State and Kentucky, where he was offensive coordinator under Hall Mumme and where he helped develop the famous “Air Raid” offense. He also served under Bob Stoops at Oklahoma.

In addition, Italy’s national team head coach David Giuliano will be on hand along with Andrea Vecchi, offensive coordinator, and offensive line coach and quarterbacks coach for the Italian national team.

Some of the topics to more than 10 hours of planned lectures will include:
