Paris Musketeers re-sign lockdown DB Jamalcolm Liggins for 2026 season

The Paris Musketeers have secured a key piece of their secondary for the upcoming campaign, re-signing experienced defensive back Jamalcolm Liggins, who brings proven playmaking ability and veteran leadership back to the European League of Football franchise.

Strong production in Paris

Liggins quickly became a defensive cornerstone for the Musketeers in 2025, recording 25 tackles, 1 interception, and 8 pass breakups in his first season with the club. His performance continued a trend of high-level play in the ELF, where over 28 career games with the Frankfurt Galaxy and Raiders Tirol prior to arriving in Paris, he compiled 82 tackles, 9 interceptions, 37 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, and a defensive touchdown. That consistency earned him First Team ELF All-Star honors in 2023 with the Galaxy, highlighting his reputation as one of the league’s most dependable cover men.

A well-traveled playmaker

The 6’1”, 215-pound 29 year old defensive back from Memphis, Tennessee has built an impressive transatlantic résumé. Before joining Paris, he won a Swiss Bowl championship with the Bern Grizzlies in 2022 and later contributed to playoff runs with the Raiders Tirol. His professional journey also included preseason action with the Philadelphia Eagles (NFL), a stint with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL), and time with the St. Louis BattleHawks (XFL). Collegiately, he starred at Dickinson State (NAIA), where he was a multiple-time All-Conference selection and earned First Team All-American honors in 2018.
