VIDEO: Argentina – From Córdoba To Mendoza Football Is In Full Swing

From Cordoba to Mendoza, American football is charging ahead in Argentina. In the Cordoba league, the Condors won their first game while the Coyotes swept all of theirs. Meanwhile, in the Rosario league the Hyenas surprised the Celtics in overtime.

Condors 20 – Dragons 19

The Condors are known to live up to expectations, and it showed in a match with clear ups and downs and tense moments. From the first quarter, the Dragons went ahead behind a touchdown by Martín Oga (# 3). However, the Condors did not give up and went ahead on a pass from S. Jackson (# 3) to Alexis Guzmán (# 11) for a 68 yard touchdown. Matías Krieg (# 10) had a chance but was stopped by the Condors Lautaro Salmerón  (# 34).

Guzmán scored another touchdown leaving the green team needing only a single point for the tie. But the kick was not converted and that is why the “Vinotinto” won its first victory, winning by 20-19.

Coyotes 47 – Dragons 0

As expected the Coyotes went on a scoring rampage against the Dragons. With this result, the Coyotes climbed to the top of the league table, creating breaks in the benefits of the training had been working the Dragons team.

This time, there was a warm celebration for all receivers Coyotes (Cesar Rossi, Gonzalo Decandido and Damián Vercellone), together with Martín  D’amato and Emanuel Angeletti.

The season closes the first half, and the Coyotes look almost unstoppable.

Hyenas 6 –  Celtic 6 (OT)

Under constant rainy weather, the teams from bottom of the table staged a dramatic match, lacking tactical and technical aspects but still exciting.

Play of the game

Alejandro Scorza (# 85) was able to score for the Celtic, while the Hyenas equalized as Pablo Catala (# 80) behind his line, drove in to tie the score at 6-6 forcing overtime.

Neither team was able to score in overtime.
