Video – European League of Football: Rating the Paris Musketeers class of 2024 imports

In our series rating the imports on each of the European League of Football teams for the 2024 season, we have reached the Paris Musketeers.

The expectations of the Paris Musketeers have risen for what feels like every day. Each signing they make increases the bar of success that they must attain. This is a tremendous amount of pressure for any team to burden, but the Paris franchise is no stranger to expectations. They weathered the gauntlet of the 2023 season, but now that road has become even harder in 2024. Therefore, they needed to build a super team in the capital. It is fair to say they are on the right track.

Two of the Americans are returning faces that have proven to be within the best of their respective position. Zach Edwards, the former MVP contender and Dauson Dales, the first-team ELF linebackers have returned to their posts this season.

Joining Edwards on the offense is Austin Mitchell, one of the best receivers in the GFL last season with 1,600+ yards and 20 touchdowns. He is electric and fits into this offense seamlessly with his speed and ability in the slot. The defense sees Chandler Jones joining the team, the former Louisville defensive back will be providing the aggressive nature and physicality to deal with the receivers in that conference.

There are a number of familiar faces in the European section of these imports as well. Pollys Sacramento is one of the highest-regarded right tackles in Europe. The Brazilian will be joined by multiple-time all-star Brit, Lewis Thomas who has come over from the Milano Seamen team. As far as guards in Europe go, Thomas is considered to be one of the elite.

He is not the only Brit on the offensive line. Toby Lettman rejoins the ELF after a time in Canada. The tackle is a premier option and will boost the Paris team exponentially. Three on offense, three on defense. The other half sees Jack Loew on the defensive line back for another year. The young Aussie is expected to gradually increase his impact this season. In the interior, former all-star and Leipzig standout Aslan Zetterberg is going to be surrounded by a stacked French team that may see him get another all-star vote on his belt.

Last but certainly not least, another Swedish international, former UCLA and University of Notre Dame linebacker Jordan Genmark-Heath, has returned to Europe after time in the USFL with the Philadelphia Stars and the Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders. His return is comparable to the return of Sandro Platzgummer last season with the Raiders in its importance to many fans.
