Vienna Vikings Shut Out Berlin Adler 33-0 in Big6 Match-up
In this weekend’s other big Germany-Austria match-up, the defending Eurobowl champion Berlin Adler hosted the Vienna Vikings in the German capital.
The Vikings dominated the afternoon 33-0 and made their first step towards Eurobowl a defiant one.
In the first quarter, the Vienna Vikings #20 RB Islaam Amadu opened the scoring with a touchdown. The extra point by #2 K Christopher Kappel was good. Vikings take 7-0 lead.
The Vikings began to pour in on in the second quarter. First, a touchdown by #26 RB Miroslav Stankic, then another by 18-year-old #28 RB Alexander Hertel. Conversion failed on both scores, and Vienna led 19-0 at halftime.

In the second half, it was more of the same for both teams. The Adler were unsuccessful the young receiver #16 Mathias Baldauf and #45 Ugochukwu Uwakwe scored the final two touchdowns of the game. Kicker # 2 Christopher Kappel made each of the extra point.
So it was at the end of 33-0 for the Vienna Vikings. This Big6 opener was an important win against last year’s winner of the EuroBowl, the Berlin Adler.
