AFI Recaps another action-filled weekend of football in Europe

It was another busy weekend in Europe with action from seven different leagues.

The Czech League of American Football played its second last weekend of the regular season while Denmark’s Nationalligaen had one game on tap. The European League of Football, Finnish Maple League, and German Football League all had full schedules as did the Swiss league. Finally, the Ukrainian League of American Football championship game was one of the highlights of the weekend.

Czech League of American Football

In the second last weekend of play in the Czech league, the first place Prague Lions (5-1) had an easy time of it as they trounced the Brno Alligators (2-3) 51-7. Prague took a 45-0 halftime lead before cruising to the win.

The second-place Vysocina Gladiators (4-1) beat up on the Ostrava Steelers (2-3) blanking them 28-0.

Danish Nationlligaen

The Copenhagen Towers (3-1) simply steamrollered the winless Triangle Razorbacks (0-4) this past Saturday, showing no mercy in hammering them 52-6. Towers RB Anton Witmeur scored 4 TDs to pace his team.
