Italian SUPERBOWL XXXIII, July 6th, 2013

“Battle for the rights to be the Kings of Italy!”

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t is now less than a week from the Italian Super Bowl XXXIII, the final act of the IFL (Italian Football League) championship of American Football, the highest level of American Football in Italy.

The Parma Panthers and Milano Seamen will face off in Italian SuperBowl XXXIII,  July 6th, 2013 at 8p.m. CEST in Stadio Paolo Mazza, Ferrara, Italy. The game will be broadcast live on Eurosport 2 at 8:30p.m. CEST. The Seaman fell to the Panthers twice in the regular season, 35-6 and 40-6, but have recommitted themselves in the playoffs and brought in some additional coaches to shore up problem areas. The match promises to be an epic battle for the rights to be Kings of Italy!

Prior to the game, the Italian Super Bowl committee is presenting  a full weekend of events around SUPER BOWL XXXIII. A noon press conference on Friday will open a three-day Ferrara Street Food Festival. The celebration continues into the evening with a gala dinner followed by an American Football party! Saturday morning, July 6th, doctors, physiotherapists, coaches and trainers will participate in a major medical conference focused on the diagnosis and treatment of injuries in contact sports.

In the evening, American Football action opens with a fight for the IFL women’s American Football final between the Pescara Lobsters and  Lazio-Furie Cernusco sul Naviglio at 5p.m. The main event Super Bowl XXXIII commences afterwards at 8p.m..
