Sweden: Örebro Black Knights dominate Oslo Vikings in Superserien drubbing

The Örebro Black Knights (5-1) delivered a commanding 52-0 victory over the Oslo Vikings (1-5) at Behrn Arena, showcasing a relentless offensive onslaught and suffocating defense to solidify their playoff aspirations in the Swedish Superserien.

Dominant first quarter sets tone
Quarterback Trevor Vasey (187 passing yards, 5 TDs) opened the scoring with a 37-yard touchdown pass to Johannes Lindeus, though a missed PAT left the score at 6-0. Örebro’s defense immediately stifled Oslo, forcing a three-and-out highlighted by Cesar Hebel’s sack of quarterback DeAndre Cleyton. Running back Jakub Brezina (8 carries, 136 yards) then powered a nine-play drive capped by Vasey’s 15-yard TD strike to Hjalmar Gertsson, extending the lead to 13-0.

Defense fuels offensive explosion
The Black Knights capitalized on Oslo’s offensive woes, with Edvin Jönsson and Martin Jäppimem combining for three sacks in the first half. A 55-yard touchdown pass from Vasey to Lindeus (3 TDs) and an 82-yard touchdown run from Brezina blew the game open at 27-0 by the end of the first quarter. Oslo’s six first-half possessions resulted in five punts and a turnover on downs, managing just 34 total yards.

Källvik, special teams ice the game
Running back Anton Källvik (14 carries, 117 yards) added a second-half touchdown, a 3-yard plunge late in the third quarter. Kicker Edvin Jönsson contributed a 26-yard field goal, while Örebro’s defense held Oslo to -2 net yards in the fourth quarter. The Vikings’ deepest drive reached Örebro’s 34-yard line before a fumble recovery by Max Gunnarsson snuffed out their only scoring threat.
