L’Hopitalet Pioners to host EFAF Cup 2013 Final in Barcelona!

‘…first time that a European final is held in Spain’

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his past Monday, June 24, 2013, the EFAF (European American Football Federation) granted the Spanish LFNA Elite Champion L’Hospitalet Pioners, as EFAF Cup finalists, the rights to host the EFAF Cup 2013 Final!

The EFAF Cup is one of the two most important European competitions of American Football, second only to the EFAF Eurobowl. The decision, which was given unanimously, was due to the immense involvement and support of the city as well as supporters who lobbied and mobilized through Facebook and Twitter. The Pioners, who are celebrating their 25th season of American Football this year, will face off against the newly crowned FFFA Elite French Champions Thonon-les-bains Black Panthers. The match will surely be legendary.

It will be the first time that a European final is held in Spain, which emphasizes the importance of the event. The game will be held on July 13th, 2013 at 5:30 CEST, at the Complex Esportiu L’Hospitalet Nord, Barcelona, Spain.

The game will be broadcast live on Pioners TV.
