The Mayas (1-1) and Condors (0-2) face each other in a Central Division battle in Mexico’s  Liga de Futbol Americano (LFA) that will be crucial, especially for the Condors.

The defending champions Mayas were embarrassed on the opening weekend of play, dropping a 32-0 decision to the Raptors. They redeemed themselves last week downing the Dinos 28-25.

The Condors have had a rough time as they lost to the Mexicas 36-19 after holding a 19-13 first half lead. Then they were beaten by the Raptors 46-26 in Mexico City.

A Mayas victory will keep them in the hunt for the playoffs while a loss for the Condors would make it a tough, steep uphill climb to qualify for post-season play.
