Philippine American Football League Reaches Semifinals

The new Philippine American Football League has reached the semifinal stage in the five-team league as the Olongapo City Warriors, Manila Rough Riders, Manila Datus and Manila Wolfpack battle Sunday at the Marinka Sports Complex in Manila to decide who moves on the the first ever championship final.

The Philippine American Football League replaced the old Philippines Tackle Football League which folded at the end of 2015.

The Rough Riders who finished first in the regular season with a perfect 4-0 record will face the fourth place Warriors (1-3) in one semifinal. The other game features the Datus with a record of 3-1 and the Wolfpack who had a 2-2 record.

In their only meeting this season, the Rough Riders dominated the Warriors 38-12. The Datus have the edge in their semifinal after having beaten the Wolfpack 8-0 earlier in the year.
