Watch AFI’s Number 1 Game of the Decade: #1 – 2014 European Championship – WATCH THE REPLAY – Germany v. Austria

When AFI started the countdown to the AFI Reader’s Poll Top Game of the Decade in Europe, in the spring, we were overwhelmed by the response we received.

Hundreds of readers voted through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and email, whittling the games down to the list of 20. There were some terrific games nominated and there have been a lot of incredible games played over the past 10 years in Europe that did not get nominated.

Following that poll, American Football International selected the top three games of the decade in Europe. We have shown showed the number 2 game, the 2010 Eurobowl between the Berlin Adler and Vienna Vikings, a thriller that ended with a last minute field goal, and the number 3 game, the 2018 Austrian Bowl between the Swarco Raiders and Dacia Vienna Vikings which was also decided in the last seconds of play with a field goal.

So  today, we present the number one Game of the Decade, the 2014 European Championship game between Germany and Austria, a double overtime thriller played in front of a packed stadium (27,000) in Vienna, Austria.

For pure edge-of-your-seat action, this game is hard to beat. For all those who have never seen the game, we do not want to spoil your enjoyment. This is pure football entertainment and was watched by a worldwide livestream audience.

Our thanks to everyone who voted.

So sit back and enjoy the Number 1 Game of the Decade in Europe!
