The two-time champion Cowbells still has a last chance to secure a spot in the HFL playoffs but it will not be easy. To make sure the season continues, the Cowbells have to win by more than 12 points. If Karim Trabelsi’s team triumphs by less than 12 points, it means they can only advance to the next round with a Fehérvár Enthroners loss. The opportunity is there, but the Cowbells’ offense has been struggling through the first two games, putting up only 13 points on the scoreboard. Nevertheless, the defense can provide the push they need since last time it produced impressive numbers with Zoltán Golita (DB) recording nine tackles and one interception, while Tamás Törzsök (LB) had 7.5 tackles.

To ensure they move on to the post season, the Győr Sharks have to win. If the deficit is less than 12 points, only a Fehérvár Enthroners win can help out the team. The Sharks offense has been impressive so far making a huge comeback against the Budapest Wolves for a 35-28 win. The running game had the most impact for Győr: quarterback Chris Jeffrey rushed 20 times for 158 yards, while Kende Ráthonyi (RB) also racked up 137 yards and two touchdowns. In addition, Jeffrey produced great numbers in the air (13/21, 139 yard, 2 TD).
