The Warsaw Eagles (0-5) will host the Silesia Rebels Katowice (1-4) in this regular season finale in the Polish Football League.
In this year’s format, six of the seven teams in Poland’s top league will make the post season as a wild card round is followed by the semi finals and finally the championship game.
The Rebels are currently holding on too the sixth and final seed. The play of quarterback Jon Mullin, running back Bartek Slomka, along with Devion Young have created an offense that has raised eye brows throughout the league. The problem has been doing that consistently, as last week they were shut out by the first place Bydgoszcz Archers. Look for this offense to aim to make a statement and put up over thirty points against this young Eagles defense. Defensively, Hadrien Lynda is a player too look out for as his knack for causing turnovers has been a huge plus for this Silesia squad.

The Warsaw Eagles are virtually eliminated from the post season. To make it to the playoffs, they would have to beat the Rebels by an incredible margin and then hope the Mets lose to the Krakow Kings. Whatever happens, they will be trying to finish out the year on a high note and get their first win since 2019 on their home turf. Look for Shazzon Mumphrey to make some plays with his legs as the athletic passer has the speed to move the sticks on the ground.
Defensively, this young unit is led by Darrian Winston, a hard hitting defensive back who has made a name for himself as a dangerous ballhawk and return specialist this season.
This game could be a competitive match as the Eagles look to end the year with some positive momentum. The Rebels are eager to get their confidence back and go into post season play with some confidence. Expect Warsaw to try some trick plays as they are looking to pull off the upset and in what looks like their final game of the season.
