ELF: Wroclaw Panthers announce former Super Bowl winning head coach Gary Kubiak as an adviser for the 2022 season

The European League of Football’s (ELF) Wroclaw Panthers have announced that former NFL Super Bowl-winning coach Gary Kubiak will advise the team for the 2022 season.

Kubiak was selected as a quarterback in the eighth round of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos, where he backed up Hall of Famer John Elway for nine years. He then went on to a medaled coaching career in the NFL appearing in four Super Bowls, winning three as an assistant coach with the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos and winning Super Bowl 50 as the head coach of the Broncos in 2016.

Kubiak, whose paternal great grandfather was born in the Poznan area of Poland, is expected to act as a remote adviser to the Panthers’ head coach, Jakub Samel. According to the club, Kubiak will even visit Poland to assist the team where possible.

Wroclaw proved to be one of the top teams in ELF last year with a number of their key players returning this year. They will undoubtedly welcome Kubiak with open arms in whatever capacity he presents himself as they take another shot at the title in their sophomore year.
