France: Flash rebound with commanding road win over Diables Rouges

The La Courneuve Flash (2–1) bounced back from their Week 2 loss with a convincing 34–10 road victory over the winless Villepinte Diables Rouges (0–3), using a balanced offensive attack and stingy defense to control this French D1 Elite Seine-Saint-Denis derby from start to finish.

Flash strike early and often
La Courneuve set the tone immediately, scoring on their opening drive and never relinquishing the lead. The Flash offense maintained consistent pressure throughout the first half, adding another touchdown before halftime to build a 14–3 advantage. Even when Villepinte showed signs of life with a passing touchdown in the second half, La Courneuve responded with a scoring drive within two minutes to crush any momentum.

Defense seals the victory
The Flash defense proved particularly effective in critical situations, repeatedly stopping Villepinte drives in the red zone and forcing the Diables Rouges to settle for just one early field goal. After allowing their only touchdown, the La Courneuve defense completely shut down Villepinte’s attack, closing the game with 14 unanswered points while the offense methodically wore down the Diables Rouges defense. The victory keeps La Courneuve firmly in the playoff hunt while extending Villepinte’s frustrating winless start to the 2026 season.
