Mallorca Voltors secure LNFA status with gritty win over Pioners

The Mallorca Voltors (2-5-1) capped their season with a hard-fought 34–24 victory over the L’Hospitalet Pioners (1-6), securing their place in the Spanish LNFA for another year with a resilient performance that showcased both explosive offense and necessary composure.

Early dominance through the air
Mallorca exploded out of the gate, building a commanding 20–0 lead in the first half behind the stellar connection between quarterback Malik Brown and receiver Austin BrockBrown found Brock for two first-quarter touchdowns, then connected with Duván Mejía Guerrero for another score early in the second quarter.

Withstanding a fierce comeback
L’Hospitalet stormed back with two quick scores from Agustín Do Eyo, cutting the deficit to 20–14. The Voltors responded just before halftime, as Brown hit Brock for their third touchdown connection of the day, followed by a successful two-point conversion. The Pioners continued to press in the second half, closing to within 28–24, but could not complete the comeback.

Sealing survival in style
With the game on the line, Brown and Brock connected one final time for Brown’s fifth touchdown pass of the afternoon, icing the game and ensuring Mallorca’s place in the league next season.
