France: Thonon Black Panthers stay perfect, rout Leopards in dominant shutout

The Thonon Black Panthers (6-0) continued their unbeaten run through the French D1 Elite season, overwhelming the Rouen Leopards (1-5) 47–0 to complete a convincing back-to-back sweep and cement their status as the team to beat.

Ground game grinds down Leopards
As they have all season, the Black Panthers leaned on a powerful and methodical rushing attack to control the game. Running back Lucas Davoine continued his strong form, punching in two touchdowns, while teammate Mehdy Radeau led all scorers with three rushing scores of his own. The relentless ground game wore down the Leopards defense and kept the chains moving all afternoon.

Defense delivers another statement
The Thonon defense was impenetrable, recording its fourth consecutive game allowing seven points or less. Rouen struggled to advance the ball all day, unable to find any rhythm against a disciplined and physical unit that posted its first shutout of the season.

Playoffs in sight, perfection intact
The win keeps the Black Panthers firmly atop the standings as they continue to build momentum toward a deep playoff run. For Rouen, the loss—their fifth in six games—makes a postseason appearance increasingly unlikely. With this kind of complete performance, Thonon looks every bit the championship contender they were expected to be.
