AFI Live welcomes Edmonton Eskimo draftee Alain Pae from Czech Republic & Prague Lions HC Zach Harrod, Sunday, May 3, 4p CET (10a ET)

Join us for a new episode of AFI Live on Facebook Sunday, May 3 at 4 pm Central European Time (10 am Eastern Daylight Time) as we chat with Edmonton Eskimo DE Alain Pae (formerly of the Prague Lions) and Prague Lions HC Zach Harrod.

Our panel – John McKeon, Kaleb Leach, and Roger Kelly – will be on hand to ask questions and hopefully answer your questions as we discuss football throughout Europe, with a special emphasis this week on the CFL draft, Edmonton Eskimos and football in the Czech Republic as well as on the impact of the coronavirus.

Our guests

Alain Pae is a defensive end from Prague, Czech Republic who was drafted 13th overall in the 2020 CFL Draft this past week by the Edmonton Eskimos. Just a few months ago he never would have thought it possible but he gained Canadian citizenship in time for the draft. Alain played for two seasons with his hometown Prague Lions before spending the 2017 season playing for the Ottawa Gee Gees in Canada’s college league. The 6’4″, 240 pound 27 year old impressed scouts with his speed and athleticism.

Zach Harrod is the head coach of the Prague Lions but has been involved with the club since first arriving as a player in 2004. He guided the Lions to their first Czech title last year in 13 years. He knows Alain well having coached him during his two seasons with Prague.
