AFI tv offers another full slate of games from Europe this weekend

Another full schedule of European American football action is in store on this weekend.

The German Football League has five games on tap while there’ll be two games from Denmark’s Nationalligaen and a pair of games from Finland’s Maple League as the seasons begin winding down.

Friday, August 27

The Porvoo Butchers (4-3) wind up their 2021 season at home against the United Newland Crusaders (2-5) on Friday, August 27 at 16:30 CET (4:30 pm, 10:30 am ET).

Saturday, August 28

The Aalborg 89ers (2-2) will host the Copenhagen Towers (3-1) in a crucial game in Denmark’s Nationalligaen. Kickoff is August 28 at 14:00 CET (2 pm, 08:00 am ET).

The Kiel Baltic Hurricanes (2-7) will wind up their GFL season against the conference-leading Dresden Monarchs (7-1) at home in Kiel. Game time is August 28 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET). 

In Finland, the Seinäjoki Crocodiles (3-4) will be looking for some momentum heading into the playoffs when they host the Helsinki Roosters (6-1) Saturday, August 28 at 15:30 CET (3:30 pm, 09:30 am ET).

In one of the top games of the week, the two top teams in the GFL South, the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns (8-0) and Saarland Hurricanes (7-1) face each other August 28 at 17:00 CET (5 pm, 11:00 am ET).

The Potsdam Royals (7-1) will be battling to keep pace with the first place Dresden Monarchs when they take on the surging Braunschweig New Yorker Lions (4-4) on August 28 in Potsdam. The game will be shown only in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on Sport1. Game time is 16:45 CET (4:45 pm, 10:45 am ET).

In Denmark, the last place Triangle Razorbacks (0-4) will be looking for the first win of the season when they host the Søllerød Gold Diggers (3-1), Saturday, August 28 at 19:00 CET (7 pm, 1 pm ET).

Sunday, August 29

The Cologne Crocodiles (4-4), who have locked up fourth place in the GFL North, will be looking to improve their record when they travel to Berlin to face the Berlin Rebels (1-8) Sunday, August 29. Kickoff is 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET).

The Munich Cowboys (4-4) need to improve their record to have a chance at the fourth and final playoff berth in the GFL South when they play the Frankfurt Universe (0-7) Sunday, August 29 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET). 

The Allgäu Comets (5-2) will play host to the Marburg Mercenaries (2-6) in their second last game of the GFL South regular season, Sunday, August 29 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET).
