ALL22 and ELITE 11 holding joint Combine in Frankfurt, Germany

Another highly anticipated combine is being held in Germany this year.

On November 5, Frankfurt is going to play host to the cooperative effort of two of the biggest European American Football organizations, All22 and Elite 11.

In the marketing for the event, it has been labelled as an International Showcase with the main premise being to provide competition against the best athletes in Europe and to gain college exposure for those participating. NFL combine testing will be performed with various positional drills conducted for all positions, and the event data and film will be shared with collegiate teams via UCReport. It is expected that many coaches from European teams will also be attending. The overall need for European athletes has never been higher with the NFL Academy, NFL International Player Pathway program, and a growth in the popularity of European leagues like the ELF, German Football League and Finland’s Maple League and many more.

We have already seen many young European talents enter the professional leagues of Europe and have great success. Nico Barrow of the Dresden Monarchs, Juan Flores-Calderon of the Milano Seamen and Luis Geyer of the Stuttgart Surge just to name a few. More recently, young players from the NFL Academy and other academies like RIG in Sweden have received scholarships to attend American universities like Oklahoma, Colorado, Alabama, and Florida. A large number of these types of players have been found at regional combines because of the availability and in-person experience that film doesn’t offer. It’s also an opportunity to meet these coaches in person and guarantee that they see the ability on display.

The combine is being held in Bezirkssportanlage Mainz Mombach with an entry fee of €100. It certainly could be a big opportunity for players who feel they are under the radar, or for established athletes who need official numbers to add to their resumé. Either way, it could prove to be a breakout chance for more European athletes.

More information can be found on the official event poster, including how to register.
