Belgium: RB Jaycen Taylor leads Limburg Shotguns in romp past Antwerp Argonauts

The Limburg Shotguns (1-0), 2019 Belgian finalists, opened the 2020 season this past weekend with a resounding 46-0 shutout win over the visiting Antwerp Argonauts (0-1) in the first weekend of action for both teams in the Belgian American Football League.

Running backs Jaycen Taylor and Michael David scored two touchdowns each while quarterback Bram Baete tossed three touchdown passes.

The Shotguns have undergone a few changes for 2020 including the addition of two former German Football League and Team Belgium coaches. Allan Verbraeken (Dusseldorf Panther, Belgian national team) is the new offensive coordinator while Jean-Marc Bottin is now running the defense for Limburg.

It would seem that the coaching additions and new player signings have improved an already potent Shotguns team.

Next up for Limburg on March 1 are the Ostend Pirates, 2019 BAFL semifinalists.
