Carlstad Crusaders dominate Tyresö Royal Crowns to claim 11th Swedish title

The Carlstad Crusaders (11-0) cemented their Superserien dynasty with a commanding 36-6 victory over the Tyresö Royal Crowns in the Swedish Championship Game at Sola Arena in Karlstad, securing their second consecutive title and 11th overall in front of 1,344 roaring home supporters.

Early dominance sets tone
Quarterback Slade Jarman (19/32, 250 yards, 3 TDs) opened the scoring with a 17-yard strike to Jacob Bergwall, capping a 75-yard opening drive. The Crusaders’ defense quickly capitalized on Tyresö’s miscues, as Nils Emsvik intercepted QB Jared Heywood (20/36, 187 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTs) on the ensuing possession. Three plays later, Jarman connected with Rory Kelly for a 14-0 lead, igniting the home crowd.

Defensive masterclass stifles Tyresö
The Crusaders’ secondary, featuring Superserien Defensive Back of the Year nominees Elias Rosenkvist and Rory Kelly, intercepted Heywood three times. Linebacker Mattias Eriksson (1 rushing TD, 7 yards) anchored a relentless pass rush, while linemen Lucas Hedberg and Adam Classon held Tyresö to 56 net rushing yards. Heywood’s second interception—a pick by Kelly—led to Jarman’s 28-yard TD pass to Matteo Mozzanica (5 receptions, 85 yards), extending the lead to 29-6 in the third quarter.
