Flamengo Stay Unbeaten, Down Botafogo Reptiles in Brazil’s Superliga Playoffs

SAO CRISTOVAO – BRAZIL –Botafogo screamed out of the gates to give Flamengo one of their most difficult halves of the season, before Otavio Roichman’s squad shook them off for the 41-26 win.

‘’ We had a pretty rough start, Botsfogo brought their best game and they dominate the first half, on the second half we came back focused on organization and discipline and the result came. To have a bad game and still a win is good to prepare better for the finals and hardest games,’’ said Roichman.

Felipe Florencio returned a kick for a touchdown and ran for another. He also ran for a two point conversion. Rafael ‘’Double F’’ Garcia added a rushing score. KC Frost his Patrick Dutton Tavares and Gabriel Curty with touchdown passes. Defensively, end, Denis Barros had two sacks and an interception.

The win for Flamengo sets up a conference final matchup with rival, Vasco da Gama, in what has historically always been a close, intense game.
