Central European Football League: Serbia’s Kragujevac Wild Boars host Turkey’s Koç Rams

Serbia’s reigning champions, the Kragujevac Wild Boars will play host to Turkey’s defending title holders the Koç Rams in the opening weekend of Central European Football League Eastern Conference action.

Both teams enter the game undefeated. The Wild Boars are 2-0 in Serbia and last week downed their arch rivals SBB Vukovi Belgrade. The Rams have won all five of their games in the Turkish league and sit atop of the standings.

The Kragujevac offense is led by quarterback Ian McGinnis, who has a huge target in receiver Strahinja Stepovic, who has returned to the team after playing in Turkey last year for the very same Koç Rams.

The duo will be aided by British running back Laurent Tshimanga who has been solid for the Wild Boars. Meanwhile, defensive back Allen Ramsey II (Wake Forest) will shore up the defense.

The Koç Rams’ hopes are pinned on quarterback Quentin Williams, along with Charles McCrea and Andre Whyte, who plays on both sides of the ball.
