Central European Football League set to kick off this weekend

The Central European Football League kicks off its 2024 season this weekend with four games on the schedule.

A total of 12 teams from nine different countries will be battling to reach CEFL Bowl XVIII as the winners of the opening weekend games will move on to face four teams with a bye in the first round.

The four opening games feature impressive matchups as Swedish title holders, the Stockholm Mean Machines, will take on Great Britain’s defending champions, the Manchester Titans. Meanwhile, SBB Vukovi Belgrade, 2023 runners up in Serbia, will face Italy’s number two team, the Firenze Guelfi. Austrian 2023 semifinals, the Graz Giants, will play host to Serbia’s reigning title holders, the Kragujevac Wild Boars. Finally, on April 30, the Calanda Broncos, winners of the Swiss crown in 2023, will take on Denmark’s 2023 champions, the Copenhagen Towers.

The winners will move on to the next round set for May 11 where the La Courneuve Flash and Thonon Black Panthers from France, Italian champion Parma Panthers and Austrian title holders, the Danube Dragons, await.
