Cologne Centurions Sign Receiver Terryon Robinson

The Cologne Centurions have made a huge splash by signing standout receiver Terryon Robinson ahead of the 2023 European League of Football season.

At 5’10”, 198 pounds, the 28-year-old receiver made his ELF debut last season with the Istanbul Rams, who have recently announced that they will not be competing in the upcoming campaign.  Robinson joined the Rams halfway through the 2022 season, and immediately proved himself to be one of the best receivers in the league.  Despite playing in just six games, he finished the season ranked seventh in the league in receiving yards with 829 tied for eighth in touchdowns with eight.  His average of 138.17 yards per game led all receivers in the league.  In the last week of the regular season, Robinson lit up his new team, the Centurions, by recording 10 catches for 206 yards and two touchdowns.  Now, he will be suiting up for them this coming season.

Originally from Decatur, Georgia, Robinson played college football at Western Carolina University (NCAA, Div. I, FCS) from 2014-2017.  A four year impact player, he had his best season in his senior year, 2017, when he had 62 catches for 896 yards and 10 touchdowns.  By the time his college career ended, he had become the Catamounts’ all time leader in receptions with 230 and ranked fifth in school history in receiving yards with 2,839.  After tryouts with teams in the CFL and the XFL, he was set to play in the German Football League in the 2020 season before the COVID 19 pandemic ruined those plans.  He then spent the 2021 season in Turkey with the Yeditepe Eagles.  In 2022, he started the year with the Pioneros de Querétaro of Mexico before joining the Istanbul Rams in July.

The Centurions, who finished just 3-9 last season, have been doing their best this offseason to improve their roster.  Earlier this week, they signed ex-Villanova quarterback Daniel Smith, who will be throwing to Robinson and the other receivers.  In November, they signed star linebacker Zachary Blair, who was Robinson’s teammate in Istanbul last season.  First year head coach Khalil Carter will be tasked with leading the team in the ELF’s Western Conference in 2023.
