Dresden Monarchs add Arkansas Razorbacks RB Devwah Whaley to their backfield

The Dresden Monarchs have signed former Arkansas Razorback (NCAA Div. 1 FBS) running back and Cincinnati Bengal Devwah Whaley as they prepare for their championship run in the German Football League.

The 5’11 212 pound Texan native grew up in the southeastern city of Beaumont before attending Arkansas where he rushed for 1,814 yards and 16 TD’s while averaging 4.7 yards per carry during his four-year career.

Whaley was picked up by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent after the 2020 NFL Draft, but was cut in August. The running back then went on to play in The Spring League with the Aviators after his pre-season stint in the NFL.

Whaley holds both an American and British passport and will therefore not count as an ‘A’ import for the Monarchs. He will be joining a Monarchs team already loaded with talent and positioned to take the top spot in the GFL North going into the playoffs.
