Dresden Monarchs sign running back David Moore III

The Dresden Monarchs are bolstering their roster with the signing of running back David Moore III as they prepare for the upcoming season in the effect®️ ENERGY GFL. Moore will join Tofunmi Lala and Yazan Nasser to enhance the team’s running game.

A powerful addition to the backfield
Offensive Coordinator Robert Cruse praised Moore:

“David is a compact and very physical running back with a strong scoring mentality. He is not intended as a replacement for Tofunmi or Yazan, but is the perfect addition to our running game. He will give our offense more depth and quality.”

Moore recently played at Brunel University in London, where he helped the Burners win the National Vase Premiership. Before that, he had a successful stint at Southern Utah University, where he teamed up with last year’s Monarchs quarterback Justin Miller.

A standout high school career
Moore hails from Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he made a name for himself at Pine Creek High School. He led his team to two championship victories and, as a senior, recorded an impressive 37 touchdowns and 2,602 rushing yards. Standing at 5 feet 8 inches and weighing 200 pounds, he was named Conference MVP and is considered one of the most effective running backs in Colorado history.

Looking ahead to the season
As the Monarchs gear up for the new season, Moore’s addition is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the offense. With his impressive track record and determination, he aims to play a key role in the team’s success and help lead them to victory.
