ELF: Cologne Centurions sign former NFL WR Connor Wedington

The Cologne Centurions have announced the signing of wide receiver Connor Wedington for the 2024 European League of Football season.

The 6′, 207 pound, 24-year-old Wedington from  Lake Tapps, Washington, played four seasons (2017-21) at Stanford University recording 971 receiving yards, 106 receptions, one receiving touchdown, 87 rushing yards and 686 kick return yards.

He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks and spent the 2021 season on the Seahawks practice squad and on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad. In 2022, he signed with the Houston Texans but was released just prior to the season. He was then added to the Seahawks practice squad in early 2023 but was released before the season.

Wedington attended Sumner (Was.) High School and finished with a school-record 4,035 career rushing yards and 69 career touchdowns. He also competed in track and a as a two-team team captain. His brother Triston played football at Central Washington and his cousin Jordan Greene played baseball at Clemson.
