ELF: Paris Musketeers sign veteran defensive lineman Vincent Buffet

The Paris Musketeers have announced that they have signed defensive lineman Vincent Buffet ahead of the 2023 European League of Football season.

At 6’2” and 260 pounds, the 32-year-old Frenchman has played in the ELF for each of the league’s first two seasons.  In 2021 he played for the Leipzig Kings, where he recorded 20 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 6 sacks in 10 games as part of a dominant defensive line.  He was named to the ELF All-Europe team for his efforts.

In 2022, he had stints with the Frankfurt Galaxy, Leipzig and the Raiders Tirol.  Throughout the season, he played in eight games and recorded 12 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 1 sack.

Before the creation of the ELF, Buffet spent time with the Rouen Leopards in France, the Seinäjoki Crocodiles in Finland, and the Hildesheim Invaders in Germany.

Heading into their inaugural season as a franchise, the Musketeers are hoping that Buffet will be an anchor on the defensive front seven and provide veteran leadership to aid in the development of other players on the defense.  Specifically, his two years of playing experience in the ELF, will definitely help many of the Musketeers’ players who come directly from the French domestic league.
