The Barcelona Dragons of the European League of Football have added four-time Czech League of American Football title winner, offensive lineman Jan Raus, to the squad.

The 6’1″, 288 pound 26 year old from Prague, Czech Republic, has spent the 2021 season playing for the L’Hospitalet Pioners in Spain which ends in time for the ELF season start in June. He spent the first three months of 2020 with French champions, the Thonon Black Panthers before the season in France was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Raus has spent the bulk of his career with his hometown Prague Black Panthers with whom he started playing youth football in 2009. He graduated through the ranks, learning his craft and earned the team’s  ‘Most Improved Offensive Player’ award in 2017. The versatile Raus can step in at both center and guard and helped the Black Panthers to four straight Czech League of American Football titles (2015-2018). The Black Panthers did not play in the Czech league in 2019 opting for the Austrian Football League only that season.
