Finnish Maple League offensive leaders: Powell tops 1,000 yards as Jarman closes in on 2,000

With only two weeks remaining in the Finnish Maple League regular season, Kuopio Steelers quarterback Slade Jarman, Porvoon Butchers running back Christian Powell and Tampere Saints receiver Logan Collier sit atop the league’s three major offensive yardage categories. Jarman is closing in on 2,000 passing yards, Powell has already broken through the 1,000-yard rushing barrier and Collier holds a narrow advantage in a receiving race that still has room to change over the final games.

Jarman closing in on 2,000

Jarman leads all Maple League quarterbacks with 1,967 passing yards after completing 142 of 245 attempts. The Steelers quarterback has thrown 20 touchdown passes against five interceptions and needs only 33 yards in Kuopio’s regular-season finale against the Porvoon Butchers to reach 2,000.

Christopher Fowler of the Seinäjoki Crocodiles is second with 1,860 yards and has also thrown 20 touchdowns, while Christopher Howard Jr. of the Saints sits third with 1,826 yards and 14 scores.

Khari Lane accumulated 1,114 yards and eight touchdowns in four games for the East City Giants, while Norman Douglas Jr. has thrown for 909 yards and seven touchdowns in four appearances.

Lassi Pajarinen has produced 500 yards for the Helsinki Roosters, followed by Loris Savalle of the Wasa Royals with 380. Freddie Brock has made an immediate impact since joining the Roosters, rushing for 244 yards and two touchdowns on only 20 carries.

Collier holds off Porcha

The receiving race remains much closer. Collier leads the Maple League with 796 yards on 35 catches, including five touchdowns for the Saints.
