Germany: Braunschweig New Yorker Lions sign British-German RB Tyrell Bovelle

The Braunschweig New Yorker Lions have announced the signing of British running back Tyrell Bovelle for the remainder of the 2024 German Football League season.

The 5’10”, 205 pound 25 year old Bovelle from Canterbury, England, was born in Paderborn, Germany but moved to Great Britain in 2011. In 2023, he helped power the East Kent Mavericks to the British Division 2 title. The Team Great Britain running back started playing football in 2014 with the Mavericks and switched to running back in 2017. He spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons with the Kent Exiles in the British Premiership South before returning to the Mavericks last season.

Interestingly, his parents named him after former Denver Broncos star running back Terrell Davis.

Bovelle will make his debut this weekend against the Saarland Hurricanes.
