Germany: Dresden Monarchs sign former Texas A&M DB Charles Oliver

The Dresden Monarchs continue to prepare for the 2021 German Football League season with the signing of Texas A&M cornerback Charles Oliver.

The 6’2″, 196 pound,  23 year old Oliver from Fairfield, Texas had an excellent four year career with the Aggies playing in 43 games (starting in 29) recording 92 tackles, seven tackles for loss, one interception and 35 passes defended. In his senior season, he played in 11 games and made eight starts leading the team with 15 pass breakups. His best game came in A&M’s 30-6 win over South Carolina late in the season when he had three tackles and broke up six passes.

His performance earned him a tryout in 2020 with the Buffalo Bills.

Oliver played on both sides of the ball at Fairfield High School and was very effective as a runner and receiver. He averaged about 10 yards per carry and rushed for nearly 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior.
